As a future optician, I’m concern about doing great choice of glasses. I’m aware it may be difficult to choose the right frame, but there are some techniques and rules that can help you.

The first part of my presentation is about the different shape a human face can have. I will give you examples of the principal shapes. Pictures of oval, round, square, rectangular, heart, diamond and triangular faces will help you to understand. I will also give examples of frames that could reduce or emphasis the shape of the face.

The second part of my presentation is about the rules that should be followed to make a choice that fits to your face. There are 11 principal rules that could be useful.

You should not only base your choice of glasses on the aspects that I will be discussing in my presentation, but it will give you a base of knowledge if you want to go and find the right frame by your own. Also, you must be aware that even if you followed the rules, your choice of glasses may not be right. Your prescription, the materials of the frame and the type of lenses you need are affecting the choice of the frame. Your optician is there to help you so don’t hesitate to ask him when you need advices.
